Spoiler alert : notre étape à Lagos signe la fin de notre périple à deux roues. Guillaume traîne un problème au genou depuis quelques années, et 6 mois de vélo intensif avec dénivelé et charge excessive ont eu raison de sa détermination. Nous avons rejoint la station balnéaire dans un dernier effort et y avons cogité pour la suite et le retour. Le meilleur compris trouvé pour rentrer en douceur a été de louer un fourgon aménagé où caser tout le matos, explorer un peu l’Espagne et rentrer tranquillement pour les fêtes.

Un peu frustrés quand même, un peu inquiets pour la suite aussi, mais incroyablement riches de toutes ces micro-aventures, rencontres, paysages, expériences en famille, conscients de nous nous être accordés le luxe de 6 mois de moments précieux à trois sur nos fidèles destriers !

Donc ça nest pas encore totalement fini, continuez à nous suivre jusqu’au bout hein :)

Spoiler alert : our stop in Lagos is the last of our bike journey. Guillaume started the trip with an old knee problem, and 6 month of intensive rides with too much hills and weight killed his determination. We reached the seaside resort in one final effort and there we thought about what would be next and how to go back home. So the best compromise we found to slowly return is renting a campervan to put all our gear in, explore a bit of Spain and be there for Christmas time.

Still a bit frustrated, a bit worried about Guillaume’s condition, but amazingly enriched by all those micro-adventures, encounters, landscapes, family experiences, aware that we offered us the luxury of half a year of precious moments all together on our trusty steeds !
